Can you grow wildflowers for River Holme Connections?

Can you grow wildflowers to help wildlife?

We need you! River Holme Connections would like to grow wildflowers to plant along the river next year.

When we remove invasive species, we need to replant the area with native species to benefit wildlife. If you enjoy gardening, we can provide the seeds, planting trays and peat-free compost if you are willing to grow some for us!

If you would like to be involved with this project, please contact Ella at YII@riverholmeconnections.org to show your interest. It doesn’t matter if you offer to grow 10 or 200 plants, any help is appreciated.

The wildflower seeds we have collected are a mixture of woodland and riverside species such as pendulous sedge, bluebell, woodrush, red campion and wood avens.
