Event Details
The ground beneath our feet contains a cornucopia of historical artefacts, which until the last half of the 20th century were only available to be discovered by archaeologists. However, since the development of portable metal detectors, anyone can go hunting for these treasures of the past. Martin Tyrrell explains the recent rise in interest of this fascinating hobby, and shares some of his finds.
Metal Detecting evokes strong feelings, and has its detractors, and Martin attempts to explain why this is so, exposing some of the myths, and examining the benefits of this extraordinary obsession.
The event is free but donations to FoHL are welcome.
