This quaint and quirky location is perfect for this surprisingly spacious craft shop that sells a host of handmade gifts, from candles to soap bouquets. It’s also where Julie, who created Crafters Cottage runs her craft workshops.

Candles, soaps, gifts and more

Crafters Cottage has a range of handmade gifts at prices that will make you smile. Ideal for treating friends and family, Julie’s candles, bath and body gifts are made with ingredients that are as natural as possible. All packaging is recyclable and, gifts such as her shampoo bars contain no plastic packaging are great gifts for environmentally minded friends.

Julie also sells craft kits, which make much-loved gifts for that person who has everything. All products are available online or can be bought directly from Crafters Cottage on Church Street.

Julie’s interest in making candles, soaps and other gifts stemmed from her previous business of making and selling cosmetics. It’s an area that she’s now returned to with her new organic mineral skincare and cosmetics range.

Craft workshops

Demand for Julie’s craft workshops has grown and grown over the past few years. People travel from all over the UK to take part in her candle making, furniture painting, soap and cosmetic craft courses.

It’s a great day out and, whether you want to make candles, soaps or give a new lease of life to that tired old chest of drawers, you’ll have a great deal of fun while you learn new craft skills. There’s also a delicious afternoon tea included with most courses.

As well as the scheduled courses, Julie also runs corporate events for companies, and courses for community groups and hen parties. Her children’s birthday parties are particularly popular. Parents love the fact that children get to make the content of their goodie bags, including magical unicorn bath dust!
