Pre-loved designer clothes

Just imagine, fabulous designer clothes at a fraction of the price you’d expect to pay.

That’s exactly what you’ll find at Redress Boutique, the designer dress agency on Church Street. Selling pre-loved ladies’ clothes, accessories, handbags and shoes, Redress is owned and run by Rachel Valli, who describes it as her dream job.

“I’ve always loved clothes and have an eye for what looks good on people. I wanted to work in fashion but in a way that was sustainable and made a difference. Through Redress we encourage people to reuse and recycle quality clothes and items that would otherwise be cluttering their wardrobe or eventually be thrown out,” said Rachel.

Redress Boutique started life in Lockwood, before moving to Honley in summer of 2021. Rachel knows Honley well as her husband, Moin, is proprietor of Valli Opticians. The move has transformed the business, which Rachel puts down to an increase in passing trade and the village environment that encourages people to visit and browse.

Buy from Redress Boutique

If you love great quality clothes then a visit to Redress is a must. Apart from sunglasses and certain jewellery lines, which are new, everything is pre-loved so sizes and styles change regularly. It means there’s always something to discover.

“I’m incredibly picky about the items I accept for Redress,” admitted Rachel. “They have to be in perfect condition and I only accept designer brands or quality high street labels. I often have customers questioning if our stock items are actually brand new.”

If you’re looking for something in particular, have a chat with Rachel. She’ll make a note of your wish list and if a suitable item comes in, she’ll let you know.

As well as designer womenswear, Redress Boutique also has a smaller range of designer menswear available on their website.

Sell with Redress Boutique

Is your wardrobe bulging with barely worn clothes, shoes and handbags, which are just too good to throw away? Why not make some money from them?

Rachel will consider most designer and high street label clothes that are in fabulous condition. The shop has a certain styling, one that she knows her customers are looking for. If your items are in the shop’s style, clean, and in great condition, take them along to Redress for an evaluation.

Once an item is accepted, and a price agreed, Rachel will keep it in stock for 6 weeks. When it sells, you’ll receive 50% of the sale price.

If an item fails to sell for whatever reason, it will be returned to you. Any unwanted return items are donated to The Howarth Foundation, a Yorkshire-based charity that helps homeless people back into work.

Style with Redress Boutique

It’s more than a clothes shop, Redress is a boutique experience, and even offers personal shopping.

“I worked in the opticians for many years, helping people choose glasses that enhance their features. It’s given me a real eye for what colours and styles suit people, depending on their shape and colouring. I love encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone and seeing their face when they realise how amazing they look wearing something they’d never usually consider,” said Rachel.

As Rachel often says: if you’ve got style, sell with Redress; if you want style, shop with Redress. And you can be confident that your new wardrobe won’t cost the Earth.
