It’s been a tough 18 months for many businesses. Thanks to the Covid vaccination programme – and hats off to the Honley Covid Vaccination Centre for the role they played – life is slowly returning to some kind of normality.
One thing we have seen during Covid is how businesses have successfully adapted to new ways of working. In some cases, individuals and organisations have taken the opportunity to do things differently and even start afresh.
Since the beginning of the year, we’ve seen lots of new businesses flourishing in Honley – both home-based and on the high street.

You can’t miss Dora’s Desserts, which opened on the high street at the front of the post office earlier this year. These are not just any desserts. These are Dora’s Desserts. Gelato ice creams, bubble waffles and sundaes to die for. If that’s not enough, there are crazy shakes, cakes, cookies and more…
Word of warning: your will power will desert you with one look at their delicious desserts.
Near the Moor Bottom roundabout you’ll find Honley Barbers. Their salon has all the trademarks of a traditional barbers, with big comfy chairs, traditional hot towel treatments and even a barber’s pole outside. But their styling is anything but traditional. Specialists in short hair and shaved styles, you’ll walk out feeling amazing.
Wander up Church Street and you’ll discover Redress Boutique. Run by Rachel Valli, this dress agency stocks a range of pre-loved designer brands and high street favourites. Next time you’re passing, why not pop in and have a browse.
