Owner Dom Newton is a culinary wunderkind whose journey from kitchen helper to chef saw him open his own sandwich shop in Huddersfield Road, Honley.

From Kitchen Apprentice to Sandwich Shop Owner

He started pot-washing at age 11 and headed straight into full-time kitchen work after leaving school at 16.

As Dom says: “I love to make something from scratch and to end up with a nicely finished dish.”

At Bridge Kitchen, ingredients are sourced locally. Indulge in pork pies and pastries from Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop, and enjoy fresh bread and cakes from Hadfields Bakery.

Dom’s culinary skills were recognised early by his family. His mum, Debbie, spotted his talent for professionally slicing through cucumber with ‘bridge and claw grip’ precision. Dom’s culinary skills were honed through a blend of watching cookery programmes and relentless practice at home.
