Introduction to the Overlocker

Introduction to the overlocker machine includes –

– Including how to thread.

– Sewing with different fabrics.

– Using 3 thread or 4 threads.

– Seam experimenting.

 

Notions –

• Scissors (I have a pair of 8” and a pair of 10 ½’’) for fabric

• Scissors for paper and card• Snips / Embroidery scissors or both!

• Stitch unpicks • Set square / pattern master / long ruler

• Pencil (HB for me, but a lot of pattern cutting is done in 2H or 3H)

• Tailors chalk

• Pen

• Workbook / Notebook I guess you could use your phone or a device?

• Pattern notcher

• Lighter

• Tape measure

• Pins

• Thimble

I will have an array of equipment for people to use. I recommend building your own kit, as you can find what you like to use.
