Honley Cricket Club to Launch New Women & Girls Cricket Programme

Honley Cricket Club will take a major step forward next month with the official launch of its new Women & Girls cricket pathway, designed to expand opportunities for female players across the community. The Women & Girls Launch & SignUp Night will take place at 6.30pm on Wednesday 25 February 2026 at Honley Cricket Club.

The event will introduce a full development pathway from U11 Girls through to U15 Hardball and Women’s Softball Cricket, supported by a newly formed coaching team and a longterm strategy focused on inclusivity, development, and fun.

Representatives from the Yorkshire Cricket Board will attend, alongside a special guest speaker who will share insights into the women’s game and the growing opportunities for girls in the sport.

The evening will also feature the reveal of Honley’s new Women & Girls branding and kit, safeguarding information, season plans, and details on how families can get involved as players, coaches, volunteers, or committee members. Attendees will be able to register interest on the night via QR codes.

Club Chairman Archie said the launch marks “a milestone moment for Honley Cricket Club and a major investment in the future of the women’s game locally.”

The club is encouraging families, aspiring players, and community members to attend and be part of shaping the next chapter of cricket at Honley.
