Partnership Between HBA & Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School

The Honley Business Association (HBA) and the local Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School are delighted to announce the forging of a strong and effective partnership. With the aim of delivering better outcomes for both organisations the ‘We’re Stronger Together’ mantra of the village is clearly continuing to be upheld.

By linking together, the partnership will aim to shape a thriving community by delivering an enhanced learning environment for the children in Honley whilst driving awareness amongst staff, pupils, and their families to support local business and events.

Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School is split over two sites in the heart of Honley village. Overseen by headteacher Linda Goodall the school are excited to see where this official partnership will go; ‘We are thrilled to link with the HBA. We welcome any exciting opportunities that will benefit our pupils learning and development in and out of school. Whether it be for more pupils and their families to be inspired to get further involved in village life, or to benefit from unique opportunities local businesses may provide our children’.

Rachel Valli, Chairwoman of the HBA is delighted to support this initiative for the business community as this will provide a whole range of opportunities to make more people aware of services and businesses, ultimately boosting local business.

‘The HBA exists to bring together local businesses to improve Honley, for the people who live in, work and visit us here in the village. We are always looking for ways to shine a spotlight on what our local businesses offer and with the local Junior, Infant and Nursery school making up a significant % of the local community it is very exciting for us’.

The partnership will be primarily co-ordinated by local businesswoman, Laura Hanson who as well as being a member of the HBA also has children at the school. As a member of Friends of Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery Schools (FOHJINS) communication will be the key to this partnership with each organisation becoming advocates for one another to build a better community.

The partnership launched last week at a Visioning Evening organised by the school where local people and businesses were invited to attend to help shape the future of the local school. In attendance were Rachel Valli (HBA Chairwomen), Linda Goodall (Honley JIN Headteacher), Julia Skidmore (FOHJINS Chairwoman) and Nicola Stacey (local business woman and owner of Well North Physiotherapy in Honley)
