Talk About 3 Inspirational Women who Challenged Racism in the USA

This talk aims to introduce you to three incredibly brave and tenacious African American women from across the 1880s to the 1980s. All three continually challenged utterly dreadful, endemic and systemic racism through journalism, education, the US Constitution and the law. The women are Ida B Wells, Mary McLeod Bethune and Pauline Murray . They helped to shape America for the better and can still serve as heroes for all those who suffer deep and hateful prejudice both in US and the UK.

The speaker is Lawrence Benson, retired Senior Lecturer.
